Anti-snoring devices

A custom-made appliance, worn at night, that holds the lower jaw forward to make snoring less likely.

What it is

Snoring has many causes. When the lower jaw falls back during sleep, the tongue can drop towards the soft palate and make snoring more likely.

An anti-snoring device is made in a laboratory to hold the lower jaw slightly forward, which can reduce snoring.

Who it's for

People who snore and would like to try a dental appliance.

Some more severe cases need further investigation by your GP, and possibly referral to a sleep clinic. Your dentist will advise you.

What to expect

  1. An examination, impressions of your teeth, and a fitting appointment with guidance on wearing and caring for the device.
To confirm with Currie Dental Care: A guide price for anti-snoring devices, if you'd like one shown.
