Nervous of the dentist? You're not alone

We know going to the dentist can be an anxious experience for some people. Our team takes a friendly, honest approach, and will tailor your treatment to what you need and expect.

How we help

At your pace, with no surprises

  • Tell us when you book. Just say you're nervous. You don't need to explain why.
  • We explain before we do. Your dentist will talk you through each step in plain words before it happens.
  • You're in control. Agree a signal, such as raising your hand, and we'll stop whenever you use it.
  • Honest about what you'll feel. We'll tell you what to expect, rather than promise it won't be uncomfortable.
  • Small steps are fine. If you'd rather start with a check-up and a chat, that's a good start.
To confirm with Currie Dental Care: Which of these you're happy to offer, and anything else (for example longer or quieter appointments, or bringing someone with you). We haven't mentioned sedation; add it only if you provide it.

You might be wondering

Will you judge me if I haven't been to the dentist for years?

No. Lots of people put off the dentist. We'll simply start from where you are now and talk through what would help.

Can I just come in and talk first?

Call us and tell us you're nervous. We'll talk through how your first visit can work for you.

Talk to us first
