James Craig, Principal Dentist at Currie Dental Care

James Craig

Principal Dentist

BDS MFDS RCSEd

GDC number 103054 (check on the GDC register, opens in a new tab)

James joined the practice in 2008, after roles in community and hospital dentistry in Aberdeenshire and Tayside. He gained his membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh the same year. In 2011 he took over the practice, and he has since modernised and improved the facilities for patients and staff.

James builds a good rapport with his patients, tailors treatment to their needs and has a keen eye for detail. He has a special interest in dental implants and advanced restorative treatment. He regularly attends dental implant courses across the UK, including at the Eastman Dental Institute in London, to keep up to date with modern surgical techniques and good practice.

Outside dentistry, James enjoys time with his family, music and sport, including football and rugby. He says he's now more of a spectator than a player.
