Privacy notice

How we use the details you send us through this website.

To confirm with Currie Dental Care: This is a draft for the website forms only. Please supply or approve: the data controller (the practice's legal entity), your ICO registration number, your data protection contact, how long website enquiries are kept, and a link to your full patient privacy notice.

Who we are

Currie Dental Care, 58 Bryce Road, Currie, Edinburgh, EH14 5LD, is responsible for the personal data you send through this website. Contact us at info@curriedentalcare.co.uk or 0131 449 2100.

What we collect

  • New patient form: your name, phone number, email address, whether you'd like to register an NHS child or as a private or plan patient, and the best time to call.
  • Contact form: your name, email address, optionally your phone number, what your enquiry is about, and your message.

We never ask for your medical history, date of birth or address through the website. Please don't include medical details in a message: we'll ask for what we need in person.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

Only to contact you about registering or to reply to your enquiry. We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time. We don't use your details for marketing, and we don't sell or share them.

How it's kept safe

Forms are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored in a secure database that only authorised practice staff can access. Spam protection checks that a person, not a bot, sent the form.

To confirm with Currie Dental Care: Name the website's processors once confirmed (hosting, database, and the email notification service), and where they store data.

How long we keep it

We delete website enquiries once they've been dealt with. If you become a patient, your records are kept as part of your dental record, as explained in our patient privacy notice.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it, by emailing info@curriedentalcare.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (opens in a new tab).
